Smart watches, Engineered by HP

With the rise of smart watches entering the market, the Engineered by HP wearables team started to partner with notable designers to create a line of smart watches starting with Michael Bastian, followed by Movado. The strategy was to build awareness of HP’s technology platform among potential partners (e.g. designers, fashion brands, distributors). The task was to build a responsive site dedicated to each designer that showcased the brand partner paired with the "smart" features of the watch.

Research

After the initial kickoff and project brief were discussed, I began researching high-end watch sites such as Rolex, Breitling, and TAG Heuer. I also looked at existing smart watches from Apple and Motorola.

Key takeaways from the sites researched were 1) their use of large bold images, 2) fine details of the craftsmanship, 3) display of features, and 4) technical details of the watch

Wireframe Exploration

The next phase was to develop wireframes based on that research and site goals. The wireframes also helped drive the content and site IA.

FINAL Design

After presenting the wireframe explorations to stakeholders, discussing the content needed, and going through several rounds of hi-fidelity comps, the final page was achieved.

Parallax was used to show the features of the MB Chronowing smart watch.

As Lead Designer, I also managed a contract designer in the creation of two additional sites; the Titan JUXT and Isaac Mizrahi Smart Watch. Although different in colors and style, each site still had a similar structure.

Engineered by HP Boutique Page

To showcase their current and new smart watches, the Engineered by HP team also asked to have a "boutique" page created.
